I had a chance recently to go to an outdoor concert featuring Wessell “Warm Daddy” Anderson. Trust me when I say he is indeed the warmest of souls and can flat melt a saxaphone. To make things as difficult as possible I took the Hassy flexcam which is like taking a knife to a gunfight. The camera is slow and not meant for moving targets. Anyway here is one I got. Sometimes I take the camera in unlikely places like dive bars and honkey tonks. I have always found the people friendly. In this particular place a big sign when you enter states, ” If you throw a punch, pack a lunch, cause you ass is going to jail. ” Kind of makes you feel warm and fuzzy.
This of course is Iron Man and his lady. I didnt catch her name.
Of course night shooting with no flash requires pushing the film. This one is 400 to 800 wide open at 1/2 sec.

I experimented with liquid emulsion a while back. I wish I had kept doing it. As they say practice makes perfect. On the otherhand, the imperfection of liquid emulsion is the intriguing quality about the process that draws me. This is a 3 frame contact print triptych from 6×7 frames on water color paper.
